For the price, it's ...

For the price, it's a great value. I stayed in a room with one king and it was spacious with a small sofa. Also had a microwave and good sized fridge. I was on the second floor and you can hear all the noice from the upstairs. There is also a fair amount of road noise - but not terrible.

We enjoyed the stay ...

We enjoyed the stay at the Hawthorne for the most part. Nice rooms that included a very oddly placed, but comfy couch, a beautiful bed, king size i believe, with 2 wooden night stands on each side, a microwave, refrigerator, kitchenette sink, bathroom/washroom sink, and an exceptionally nice shower. They had great breakfast in the mornings as well which were complimentary and delicious. The downsides were definitely the TV size and lack of premium channels, the rude lady at the front desk that worked the last 2 days of our stay (the first lady that helped us was quite nice) and how she forced my fiance and I out of the room after 3 days of our stay, so "the maid could come in and clean for us", not even giving us the choice, even though we kept everything clean and tidy ourselves and preferred not to allow someone in the private room we had just been paying full price for, and also had been staying for 3 days prior to that day, and planned on staying a few additional days as well, and allow them around our personal and valuable belongings, "for no less that 45 minutes" according to the rude front desk lady. To me, thats a total invasion of privacy. We are paying to have private time to ourselves on a little vacation we decided to go on and we chose to spend our money with the Hawthorne, with no expectations of having our privacy forcefully invaded, and being provided with no real reason for such actions, other than the excuse of "wanting to make sure the room is clean for your continued stay, but you dont have a choice". From that point on, the stay was not nearly as enjoyable as the first 3 days. We were on our last day and were waiting for the money to appear in our account, and we asked the lady at the desk for a couple hours extra and that we were planning on one more at least. She gave us like 30 or 40 minutes and after that, insisted on standing there and watching us pack everything. My fiance actually ended up having to go to the closest ATM to get the money and while she was gone i insisted on staying with our belongings, then the desk lady decides to sa she comes back with money or not, you guys cannot stay here PERIOD-'. And that . sealed the deal so i continued to ack, having no car or place to go/way to carry all of our belongings and being lefttt with 0 options, based on an unpleasant, impatient, rude and unprofessional manager that was clearly only treating us that way because of our young appearance. Im 27nyears old and would appreciate not being treated and spoken to like i am still in grade school.
