Carneros Wine Region
Explore the Nearby Carneros Wine Region
A scenic 15-minute drive from Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham Napa Valley, the Carneros Wine Region is the only grape-growing area that's situated between the renowned Napa and Sonoma Valleys. More than two dozen wineries are open daily for tours and tastings. Surrounded by vineyards as far as the eye can see and enveloped by mountains, Carneros is also ideal for bicycling and picnicking. What makes it a veritable wine-producing Mecca is the confluence of the cool breezes from the Pacific Ocean to the west and the summer fog which creeps in from the south. One sip and you'll understand.
Wine tasting fees range from $20 to $45 per person.
On average, Carneros Wineries are open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Several require appointments for tours and tastings.
